After a short drive to Rossaveal pier, we will sail across Galway Bay to the Aran Islands. Take a trip with Thomas Flaherty around the island in a pony & trap, and see the beautiful sights of Inis Mór the old-fashioned way. You will hear wonderful stories and interesting island histories, all while taking in the amazing surroundings at a picture friendly pace. Stops are made along the route to let visitors explore. Depart Rosaveal Pier to the stunning town of Westport. Take in the breathtaking views of Connemara National Park and the Lost Valley which is part of the famous Famine Trail on route to Westport. Unwind with some local craft beers and excellent food in WestportTown.

Today visit Achill Island, the island is accessible by bridge, with wonderful views along the way. See the Deserted Village, 100 stone cottages abandoned in the famine of the 1840s. Stop in Keel for lunch. Enjoy a drink before taking a guided tour of Westport House, an 18th-century home complete with its original contents including portraits, furniture, silver, and porcelain.

Enjoy the scenery of central Ireland as you head to Dublin on the east coast. This morning drive to the center of Ireland to visit Clonmacnoise. The monastic settlement was founded in 544 AD by St. Ciaran and is set on the banks of the mighty River Shannon. See elaborate high Celtic crosses decorated with biblical scenes. The head to nearby Athlone And visit Sean’s Bar for an Irish coffee. The pub has a documented history going right back to 900AD.

Depart Dublin this morning and head south by Killiney Bay, around Bray Head and along the beautiful East Coast to Wicklow where we swing west into the Mountains. Visit the famous village of Avoca (Ballykissangel in the hit TV series). Enjoy a typical Irish lunch. Visit the ancient Monastic city of Glendalough (Glen of the two lakes) all in beautiful mountain scenery! Travel to Blarney Castle to kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence” or walk through the gardens. Treat yourself to Irish-made goods at the Blarney Woollen Mills.

This morning we will visit Cobh and trace the fascinating story of RMS Titanic the starting point for its ill-fated maiden voyage. Cobh is a town steeped in maritime history. Then on to Kinsale originally a medieval fishing port, historic Kinsale (from the Irish, Ceann tSaile – ‘Head of the Sea’) is one of the most picturesque, popular and historic towns on the south west coast of Ireland. Not only does Kinsale claim to be one of the most picturesque and oldest towns in Ireland, it is also internationally renowned for the number and quality of its restaurants. It has been hailed as ‘The Gourmet Capital of Ireland’, with no shortage of cafés, pubs and restaurants to suit every taste and budget.
HOTEL: Killarney (Day 1/2) – Europe Resort and Spa or similar
Today we tour to the most awesome place on earth, The Dingle Peninsula & Slea Head where we will see some of the most beautiful and unrivalled scenery in Ireland. Our tour will take us to the beautiful town of Dingle via the Conor Pass Mountains. The views here of Dingle town are spectacular and you can even see Tralee on the other side. You will have plenty of time to explore the lovely fishing village that Dingle is and take some lovely photos. You can also take a boat journey to see Fungi the dolphin who has been a resident in Dingle Harbor for over 20 years Onwards to Slea Head to continue the visual feast of scenic Ireland. We will stop at Dunbeg fort which takes us back to the 7/8th century with the unusual and intriguing Bee Hive Huts. Slea head has what surely is my favorite beachin the world, Dunquinn. The movie buffs among you will be able to see and learn all about the famous Ryan’s Daughter which was filmed onsite right here. No wonder as this place is simply magical. We then visit the Gallarus Oratory one of the first churches in Ireland, before some time in Dingle. When the day is over, we return to Killarney for the evening.
